Not a post about a new Microsoft OS… but my new specs.
Yes, I am now a part of the speccy-four-eyes club.
I have a simple prescription, for reading and using the computer (quite an important part of my job) – but I have found in the week since I picked up my first pair that they help no end for almost every activity.
Reading is now significantly easier, and using the computer reduces tiredness hugely.
Even driving is much less tiring…
So it looks like they will be getting used quite a lot…
My first specs are a pretty tidy pair of Hugo Boss, purchased from J Brown in Burnley. They don’t have a website but this is them (LINK)
OK – so I posted my last post a few minutes ago… and I decided to check whether this blog (on its temporary preview site) is listed…
Well, I knew it was listed – but I guess I was playing around.
Lo and behold – the last post (“another month…”) was already in Google’s index.
I am more than aware of Caffeine, and Google’s fast index updates – but I am amazed that it comes back to visit my preview site so regularly.
Wow!
A busy month at work – winning some business, not winning other business (some of which we are glad we didn’t actually win), and generally being rather busy – means that this website overhaul has taken a back seat.
Having a 12 month girl (who celebrated her first birthday in this time) takes up a bit of time, too.
OK, after a short break, I’m now getting back to getting this site up and running again.
Despite spending a good hour peering out of the bedroom window, there was no sign of the Aurora!
How disappointing…
